Obituary of Rita L. Brown

Rensselaer- Rita L. Brown age 78 of Rensselaer passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at Evergreen Commons. She was born in Rensselaer to the late John and Margaret Lopez. Rita was extremely devoted to her family.  She always had a smile on her face, loved life to the fullest and will be remembered as a true optimist. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis and Roy Orbison. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.  Loving wife of William L. Brown. Mother of Billy Brown and Holly VanVorst (David, Sr.). Grandmother of Lil’ Dave, Jake, Ashley, and Mary Jane. Sister of Bob Lopez, and the late John, Charlie, Vincent, and Dolores.  Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wednesday, December 13th at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service from 10:30-11:30am. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
