Obituary of JoAnne Driscoll

Rensselaer- JoAnne Driscoll, age 80, passed away at home on Thursday June 8, 2023.  JoAnne was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma (Witherow) Pollay. JoAnne went to Shaker High School and worked at the NYS Attorney General’s Office as a Legal Secretary.  

JoAnne is survived by her children Janis (Seth) Randall, JoAnna (Steve Harrington) Dwyer, stepchildren Madelyn Dwyer LaRosa, Sheila (Tony) Celata, Matthew (Kim) Driscoll, and Amy (John) Hogan, grandchildren Jillian Randall, Emily and John Simon, Jacqueline, Nick, Adam Celata, JP and Bennett Driscoll, Sarah and Jack Hogan.  She is also survived by her brother Jerry (Mary) Pollay.

She is predeceased by her late husbands, Phillip C. Dwyer and John Q. Driscoll and her stepdaughter, Mary Jo Driscoll. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, June 12, 2023, at 12:00 pm in the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, NY.  All are welcome to attend.  Family and friends are invited and may call prior to the service on Monday from 11am -12pm. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
