William Dewitt

Rensselaer- William A. DeWitt age 68 passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. He was born in Albany and has resided in Rensselaer for most of his life. Bill was an employee of Conrail and CSX Railroad before his retirement. Mr. DeWitt was a US Navy veteran. Son of the late Andrew and Helen Caradori DeWitt. Father of Elizabeth DeWitt. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends and his canine companion Susie. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer Friday, Dec. 23 at 10 AM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
