Susan G. Paige

Schenectady - Susan G. Paige passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Mary R. George. Susan was raised in Rensselaer and made her home in Schenectady beginning in 1976, where she shared a loving life with her late husband, Raymond F. Paige, Jr.

Susan worked for many years as a supervisor at Capital District DDSO's O.D. Heck Center in Niskayuna. She was known for her dedication, warmth, and strong work ethic.

A woman of deep faith, Susan loved reading her Bible and was a devout Catholic. She cherished taking long, peaceful car rides with Ray, and she found joy in simple moments-shopping trips, time spent with loved ones and especially visits to the ocean. Old Orchard Beach in Maine held a special place in her heart. She also had a fond affection for the staff and residents of Wesley Nursing Home. Susan loved helping her daughter Tammy with the Senior Picnic and was always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed.

Above all, Susan treasured her family. She was a devoted mother to Tammy M. Winnie, Tina M. (Robert) Adams, James L. (Michele) Paige, Ronald T. Paige, and was predeceased by her son Raymond F. Paige III. She was the beloved grandmother of Rachel, Alicia, Kaila, Christopher, Nicholle, Robert III, James Jr., Brianna, and Courtney. She is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush.
