January 28, 1930 — February 6, 2017

Rensselaer- Stuart "Stu" A. Adam, age 87passed away Monday Feb. 6, 2017 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albany surrounded by his loving family. Stu was born in Albany and has resided in Rensselaer for the past 58 years. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was the owner and retired from Adams Apple News in Albany. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Rensselaer and was a church lector. Stu was an avid Mets, Knicks and NY Giants football fan. He was a member of Rensselaer Council #267 K of C.

Son of the late Stuart and Eva Kinser Adam. Husband of 58 years to Joan Nolan Adam. Father of Stuart Adam. Brother-in-law of Francis J. Nolan, Bernardine Geier and Geraldine (Bill) Scharoun. Also survived by three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Friday afternoon at 12:30 and 1:30 at Historic St. Mary's Church Lodge Street Albany where a funeral mass will be offered. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
