Troy-Stephen Eames Sr., 80, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with a long illness, surrounded by the family who loved him deeply. Born into a bustling household as one of ten children, he learned early the values of hard work, resilience, and loyalty-qualities that shaped every chapter of his life.
A builder in every sense of the word, Steve founded and operated Eames construction company that stood as a testament to his craftsmanship, integrity, and determination. He also was the proud owner of Eames Plaza that has housed local small businesses for more than 40 years, creating a space where others could grow, thrive, and build their own dreams. His work left a lasting mark on the community he cared for so deeply.
Above all, Steve was a devoted family man. He is survived by his gorgeous wife, Marie Eames, his son Stephen Eames Jr., his daughter Theresa Eames, his grandson Stephen Eames III (Diane Eames), his granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth, and his beloved great-grandchildren, Madison, Brayden, Brycen and the newest addition, Cole.
His legacy lives on in the strength of his family, the structures he built, and the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his humor, his unwavering work ethic, and the deep love he held for those around him. Services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contribution may be made to the Capital District Food Pantry, 32 Essex Street, Albany, NY 12206.
