Castleton- Ronald J. Santore age 72 of Castleton passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Albany Medical Center. Born on Nov. 1, 1944 in Albany to the late William and Viola Santore, Sr. Ronny was employed by Rosch Brothers Construction as a carpenter for 30 years and was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 291. He was a lifetime member of James Hill Hook and Ladder Fire Company in Rensselaer. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting and antique cars; but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Beloved husband of 51 years to his high school sweetheart Patricia Bond Santore. Father of Lisa (Brian) Baird and Michele (Stephen) Wood. Proud grandfather of Taylor and Dylan Wood and Chelsea and Courtney Baird. Brother of the late William Santore Jr. Survived by sister-in-law Margaret Santore, two aunts, an uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
