Richard J. Morgan, Jr.

Rensselaer- Richard J. Morgan, Jr. age 57, passed away at home on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Richard was born in Albany and was the son of Jacqueline (Miller) Morgan and the late Richard J. Morgan, Sr. Ricky attended St. John's Academy and Rensselaer Jr./Sr. High School. He was a furniture assembler at Taft Furniture in Albany. Ricky was an animal lover and treasured his late dog Tojo but above all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his niece and nephews. In addition to his mother Jackie, Richard is survived by his siblings, Bernadette A. Albright (late Dan) and William D. Morgan. Special uncle of Darian, Dillon, Daniel and Brandon. Great uncle of Jaxon. Ricky was predeceased by and is now reunited with his father Richard, his sister Mary Morgan and nephew Nicholas Morgan as well as his grandparents, Sis (Pratt) Shook, and Mary and Frank Morgan. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ricky's family on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4-7pm at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer. Ricky's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church 54 Herrick Street, Rensselaer. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
