Patricia H. Warriner

March 27, 1928 — November 7, 2023

Troy - Patricia Warriner “Queen Mum”

Pat was born on March 27, 1928, during the Golden Age of Hollywood. She carried that era all throughout her lifetime. She liked to dress lovely, put on her makeup, and have her hair done. For 35 years she worked at Standard Manufacturing sewing, many days arriving for work with high heels on.

Pat loved people and was a true giver. If you liked something of hers, she would give it to you. In her earlier years, the family called her the soup lady. She would make a huge kettle of soup and deliver soup to each member of the family. Best soup ever.

Pat loved the Lord, and looked to Jesus daily. Like all of us, she journeyed throughout her life with good times, sorrowful times, needy times, but she knew God always took her through it all. She also believed that God has given us life to enjoy. She loved to shop and enjoyed her occasional trip to the Racino. “I never bring more than I can afford to lose”, was her motto. If she won, she would say “I am praying that the Lord shows me who I can bless with my winning.”

Pat leaves a family who loved her dearly. Her son, Robert Ames Jr. (Judy), daughters, Deborah Mason, Donna Cooper (Guy), Darlene Simmons (Roy). Her youngest daughter, Patty, who predeceased her, and son in law (Jimmy Slavin). She leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Her husband James Warriner passed away in 2002.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rosewood for their love and care during her stay there. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. To remember Pat in a special way you can show an act of kindness to a stranger. Hebrews 13:1-2 Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
