Michael J. Stewart

Rensselaer - Michael J. Stewart, 76, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Van Rensselaer Manor. Born in Albany on April 1, 1950, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Meierhofer) and Howard F. Stewart, Sr.

Michael will be dearly missed by his loving family, including his siblings, Howard F. Stewart, Jr., Barbara (Vito) Lourinia, Jacqueline (Charles) Bashant, Brian (Patricia) Stewart, and Kevin (Joanne) Stewart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A funeral service will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. All are welcome to attend.
