POTTSTOWN, PA. - Loretta Beth Bruno, age 71, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away, on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was the cherished wife of Stanley Bruno. Born in Albany, to the late James and Rose (Baxter) Martyn, Lorie carried forward her family's legacy of optimism and strength.
Lorie was a haven for her friends and family, her heart and home always open. A steadfast advocate for the underdog, Lorie possessed an extraordinary capacity for understanding others and was a source of empathy and support to many. She will be remembered for her sharp intellect and her infectious sense of humor.
Lorie is now reunited with her parents and her beloved siblings who preceded her in death: Margaret, Gertrude, Mary, Wade, Millicent, James, Michael, and Susan.
Lorie is survived by her husband, Stanley; her sisters, Kathleen LaMountain and Angel Poole; her children, Christian Bruno and Jennifer Bruno; and her adored grandchildren, Betty and Robyn Bruno and Jem Doering. Lorie also leaves behind a large and loving circle of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lorie's life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4-6pm, at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. Lorie will be laid to rest the following morning at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lorie's memory to The Breast Cancer Society, WHYY, the SPCA, or St. Columbkill Church. These contributions will continue her legacy of compassion and support for others.
