Liane E. Caldwell

Our much-loved Liane Elizabeth Caldwell (known to many as Auntie and Lee Lee) passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2020. Liane was born on June 17, 1972 and raised in Albany, NY by her mother, Mary Sackett and father, James “Sonny” Caldwell, along with her two brothers, Joel and Elliott Caldwell. Liane is survived by her children: Cameron (Kia) Caldwell, Daeshawn Turner, Dominique & Taiyah Browning, along with her brothers Joel (Jessica) Caldwell and Elliot (Kanika) Caldwell , her nieces and nephews: Kahleel, Kasier, Gabrielle, Jah-vel, Jah-sel, Kaylee, Jaymere , Paige, Kaylani, and Camryn, her grandson, Azai (with another on the way), along with her aunts, uncles and cousins near and far. Liane spent her life raising her four amazing children, along with caring for her nieces, nephews and those she loved. With a heart for giving, she was always there for a friend in need. She gave everything she had, even if it meant she would go without. She was known for her devotion to all of those who she considered family, her absolute love for babies, giving out special nicknames, and for making holidays and birthdays a little extra special - making memories that would last a lifetime. Liane was loved by many and while we are all devastated that she left us far too soon, may we all find some peace knowing she is with her mother, father, grandmother and her son, Eldra. To our Mommy, Sis, Auntie, Niece and friend… When you left us, you took a big piece of us with you. We will always wish for one more day, one more hug, and one more “I love you”. And until we meet again, please send us little reminders that you’re still with us, smiling as you watch over us. You’re forever in our hearts. Viewing hours will be held at W.J. Lyon’s Jr. Funeral Home located at 1700 Washington Avenue in Rensselaer on Monday, December 14th, 2020. It will be open to immediate family only from 10am-11am and for family and friends from 11am-1pm. Masks are required. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and occupancy limitations. There will not be a formal service or funeral. Thank you.
