Leonard C. Johnson

Guilderland - Leonard C. Johnson, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Daughters of Sarah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albany.

Born on May 5, 1939, in Cohoes, and was the son of the late Mildred Cummings. Leonard was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College.

Leonard was employed at the Watervliet Arsenal. He also served as a past member of the Board of Directors for the LaSalle School for Boys on Western Avenue in Albany.

Leonard loved tennis, golf, and skiing, pursuits that reflected his energetic spirit and appreciation for life.

Leonard is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara Osborne Johnson, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. He was a devoted husband and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A funeral home service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
