Joseph Coyne, Jr.

Rensselaer- Joseph L. “Lou” Coyne, Jr. passed away suddenly at the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home on Monday, November 26, 2018. He was born in Albany, the son of the late Joseph L. Coyne, Sr and Ethel Teator Coyne. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member for 34 years of the Gerald O’Neil Post #1683. Lou was predeceased by his siblings Regina, Theresa, Ellen Jean and Vincent. He is survived by his brothers James, William (Irene), John (Mary) and many nieces and nephews. Bill and Irene would like to thank the nurses and aids on A-1, C-2 and C-3 and the other personnel who keep the wards in excellent condition. Also, thanks to the personnel in billing/accounts, the personnel mentioned above is why the manor is number 1. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Friday morning at 10 Am. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 Pm. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. Contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to Rensselaer City School District, 25 Van Rensselaer Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
