Jon Lathrop

Lathrop, Jon EAST GREENBUSH Jon Philip Lathrop, 55, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Jon was born in Fargo, N.D. and has called the capital region home for many years. Jon was a voracious reader, a movie lover, and his favorite television show was John Cleese's Fawlty Towers. He had an immense appreciation of music, coached soccer in Albany, and loved Friday night date night with his gal and spending time with his kids. Jon worked at Keystone Architectural Service in Delmar for the past 20 years. Jon is survived by his beloved partner, Cara Benson; his children, Lauren Noyes, Matthew Lathrop and Nick Lathrop; his parents, Rick and Marcia (Kohlroser) Lathrop; his brothers, Pat (Ann) Lathrop and Chris (Paula) Lathrop; several nieces and nephews; and a cousin. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 7 p.m. at W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
