Rensselaer - John J. Korzatkowski, affectionately known as "Jack," passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Albany Medical Center. He was 83 years old and a longtime resident of Mountain View Avenue.

Born in Albany, Jack was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Bliven) Korzatkowski. He lived in Albany for most of his life before relocating to Rensselaer in his later years. Jack proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and later dedicated many years of service to the Rensselaer City School District.

He was an active member of several local organizations, including the Rensselaer Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #2073, the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post, the Polish American Club, and The American Legion.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy L. Wilbur Korzatkowski; his daughter, Barbara; and his three grandchildren. He also leaves behind his three step-sons, Kevin, Joseph, and David Wilbur.

In accordance with Jack's wishes, funeral services will be held privately. He will be interred in Blooming Grove Cemetery in Defreestville.
