John Baudy

Grafton - John J. Baudy, Jr., 91, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. Born in Manhattan, he was the son of the late John and Ann (Nemethy) Baudy, Sr. and husband of the late Ruth (Hansen) Baudy. John was a WWII Navy veteran where he served on the USS Topeka, one of the first ships to arrive in Japan after the surrender. After his service in the Navy he spent one year in active duty with the Marines. He was an NRA instructor for many years. John is survived by his daughter, Denise M. (William) Linacre of Mt. Clemens, MI, his son John P. (Ingrid) Baudy of Grafton, grandchildren, Michele (Gordon) Sevener, Erik (Theresa), Mark (Michele) and Chad (Amanda) Baudy. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Private interment will be held in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions the Grafton Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 2, Grafton, NY 12082.
