James Connell

Colonie-James R. Connell, Sr. age 87 years, passed away on Monday May 8, 2017 at the Albany County Nursing Home. He was born in Albany and has been a resident of Albany for many years, having also lived in Rensselaer. James was employed as a truck driver for REA Express. Husband of Shirley Welsh Connell; father of James Connell, Jr., Patricia Ann Sultan, Dennis Connell, William Connell, Michael Connell and the late John and Frank Connell; brother of Thomas, Edward, Roland, and David Connell, Mary and Joan and the late Raymond and Charles Connell. Also survived by many grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no evening calling hours.
