Harriette D. Roberts

Castleton-on-Hudson - Harriette D. Roberts, age 86, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on December 2, 2025.

Harriette was born in Rensselaer in 1938 and was raised in Rensselaer by the late Helen Dorothy Bailey. She worked for many years at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield in Albany, where she was known for her dedication and steady presence.

Harriette is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald E. Roberts, Sr.; her adored son, Kevin Sweet; her beloved grandchildren, Heather Mabb, Jason Mabb (Breanna), Ceara Sweet, Ciaran Sweet and several great grandkids. She also leaves her sister, Betty Venema (James).

Along with her parents, Harriette is predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Rezkalla, who passed in 2024 (Rafik Rezkalla survives), and by her siblings, Carl and Gene Bailey, James and Charles Sackett, and Mary Caldwell.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A funeral home service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at New Rural Cemetery, 3rd Avenue Extension, East Greenbush.
