East Greenbush - Glenn Scott Monuteaux, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Glenn was born on January 11, 1951, in Pawtucket, RI, the son of the late Edward and Gladys Monuteaux. He started working in the family funeral home at a young age in Rhode Island. After graduating high school, he proudly enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. Upon returning home, he worked in the mills of Pawtucket and embraced his time as a "Mill Rat."
Glenn later relocated to New York, where he dedicated 30 years of service to Amtrak as a Machinist and Foreman. Following retirement, his greatest joy became spending time with his grandchildren, whom he cared for with love and pride.
A devoted New York Yankees fan, Glenn also loved traveling, especially trips to the ocean, but above all, he cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his sons, Scott (Stefani) and Nicholas (Jaclyne); his stepdaughter, Cassie (Ryan Fitzpatrick) Swearingin; and his sister, Carol Cardillo. Glenn also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Gwen, Penny, Tyler, Maddie, Lilli, Lizzy, and Evie.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Deborah Monuteaux and his brother, Gary Monuteaux.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Michelle Morgan, NP, the team at NYOH, and Community Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Glenn and his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Bunker, Route 4 in North Greenbush. Family, friends, and children are all welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glenn's memory to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 or American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
