Albany-George Vaughn, 59, of Albany, New York, passed away recently. George was known for his gentleness - a quiet, steady presence who moved through the world with thoughtfulness and care.
An avid reader with an endless curiosity, George believed deeply in the power of learning. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Albany and continued taking classes throughout his life, exploring new subjects simply for the joy of understanding them.
George is survived by his sisters, Gail Stall and Colleen Rosa; his brothers‑in‑law, Brian Stall and Rafael Rosa; and his nephews, Ethan Rosa and Lucas Rosa. They will forever cherish his calm spirit, his reflective nature, and the quiet wisdom he brought to every conversation.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Marie Vaughn, and his father, Robert Vaughn.
We will be celebrating George's life by gathering at Thatcher Park Horseshoe I Pavilion on June 14th from 1 - 5 pm. All family and friends are welcome to join and share a memory or two.
