Frances Ritter

Rensselaer- Frances E. Ritter, age 75, passed away Tuesday Jan. 2, 2018 at Rosewood Gardens in East Greenbush. Franny was born in Albany and was a lifelong resident of the city of Rensselaer. She was employed by Morgan Linen Services for 20 years. Franny loved puzzle books, bingo, watching TV and her scratch off tickets. Daughter of the late Harold and Anna Pawlows (Powers )Volinsky. Wife of the late Robert F. Ritter. Mother of Robert (Donna) Ritter. Sister of Harolyn Hugebome and the late Helen Mattot, Joseph Volinsky and William Gibson. Stepsister of the late Robert Sawyer, Clarence Sawyer, John Sawyer, Theresa Haines, Anna Stafford, Mary LaRose, Alice Jones and William Sawyer. Godmother and aunt of Donna F. Hugebome. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Saturday at 3:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Saturday prior to the service from 2-3 PM.
