Evelyn A. Malek

Defreestville - Evelyn Ann (Mrozowski) Malek passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Evergreen Commons, surrounded by the love of her family and the compassionate care of the dedicated staff who became so dear to her. She was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Lupa) Mrozowski.

In 1956, Evelyn married the love of her life, Wallace Malek, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion. As a homemaker, she was affectionately known as the family's "CEO," managing her home with grace, strength, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.

Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose radiant smile and timeless beauty could brighten any room she entered, earning her the affectionate nickname "Hollywood." She found her greatest joy in caring for her family and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

She is survived by her loving children, Kathryn Malek and Mark (Lisa) Malek; her cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, and Brent; and her adored great-grandchildren, Mason, Camden, Addison, and Cruz.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her sister, Delores Smith, and her brother, Joseph Mrozowski.

In keeping with Evelyn's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private Mass will be celebrated for her immediate family.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, aides, and staff of Evergreen Commons for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they showed Evelyn throughout her time there.
