Elaine E. Forte

Rensselaer-Elaine E. Johnson Forte of Rensselaer passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was born in Albany and has been a resident of Rensselaer for many years. Elaine was employed as a secretary for the New York State Department of Health. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and trips to the Racino in Saratoga. Mrs. Forte was daughter of the late Ashley and Genevieve Nolan Johnson. She is survived by her husband Thomas J. Forte and her children, Thomas Forte and Diane (Dan) Dwyer. She was mother of the late Eric Forte. Elaine is also survived by her grandchildren Matthew, Casey and Jack. She was sister of the late Ashley Johnson. She is survived by her brother-in-law Ken Forte and her sister-in-law Linda Forte, she was pre-deceased by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in law. Elaine is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Thursday morning at 10:30. All are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday morning prior to the service from 8:30 to 10:30. Interment will be in Bloomingrove Cemetery Defreestville.
