Edward W. Sargent

Rensselaer- Edward W. "Ed" Sargent, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Ed was born in 1962 to Everette and Betty (Scott) Sargent. He attended local schools and later graduated from college with a bachelor's degree. For more than 15 years, Ed was the owner and operator of Me, Wife and I Landscaping, a business he built with pride through hard work and dedication.

Ed had a deep love for fishing and was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Known for his great sense of humor, Ed was truly a people person who could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them smiling.

Along with his father, Ed is survived by his step-mother, Helen, his wife, Linda, and his son, Edward Sargent, Jr. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Sebastian, Keegan, and his special buddy, Giovanni. Ed is also survived by his siblings, Richard, Karen, Crystal, and Jerry.

Ed was predeceased by his sister, Jacqueline, and his brother, Stevie.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
