East Greenbush- Edward J. "Ed" Budd, Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected member of the Capital Region's business community, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 21, 2025 in East Greenbush, where he had lived his entire life. He was 80 years old.

Born on July 3, 1945, in Albany, Ed was the beloved son of the late Joseph L. Budzichowski and Helen F. Powell. He found peace and joy in the outdoors, and had a deep appreciation for nature's beauty. His loyal canine companions, Koby and Kora, were never far from his side and brought him great comfort and companionship.

Above all, Ed was a family man. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marie Kobylack, and by his sons, Edward J. Budd, Jr. (Michele) and Jeffrey C. Budd (Ursula Kretschman).
