Daniel M. Wilson

Rensselaer - Daniel Martin Wilson Sr., age 74, of Rensselaer, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Born in 1951, he was the son of the late Harold and Mary Wilson.

Daniel is survived by his devoted wife and lifelong companion, Deborah (Stuto) Wilson, with whom he shared a remarkable 60 years of life together. He was the beloved father of Paula Wilson, Cindy (Frank) Ball, the late Deborah (Michael) Smith, Colleen-Nina (Anthony) Saia, Daniel Wilson Jr. (Helen) He is also survived by his siblings: Christine Stowell, Mary (Peter) Dorris, Martin (Nona) Wilson, and was predeceased by Robert Wilson, Carol Dean, Jessy Wilson, and Robin Rowe.

Daniel was a cherished grandfather to Jennifer (Charles), Monica (RJ), Allan, Christopher (Brittany), Frankie (Jenai), Timmy (Elise), Brooke (Dusty), Nicholas, Ryan (Nicole), Alexis (Nick), Megan, Alex, and Peyton, and a proud great-grandfather of 13. He is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews.

Daniel was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing him. With skills in many trades, he embraced each day with purpose and determination. His greatest accomplishment was his children, whom he cherished with deep and unconditional love. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, 54 Herrick Street, Rensselaer.
