Charles Sackett

Rensselaer - Charles A. Sackett passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 . Charles was the son of the late Clarence and Dorothy Sackett. He is survived by his sisters Harriette Roberts, Betty Venema and Mary Sackett. Charles is also survived by a step grandson Malsi Stokes and many nieces and nephews . In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Carl Bailey, Gene Bailey and James Sackett. Charles was raised in Rensselaer but his life's journey took him many places. He helped build the first Trident Submarine in Groton, Ct. Charles then moved to Washington State, build his own home and worked at Tacoma Boats. He then moved to Texas where he worked at Red Eye Steel and finished his career in Long Island, NY. After retirement he enjoyed deep sea fishing, golf and bingo. In following Charles's wishes there will be no funeral services.
