Carol D. Newhart

North Greenbush - Carol D. Newhart, age 85, passed away Wednesday January 28th, 2026. Carol was born and raised in Jamestown, NY. She left Jamestown to attend college and went on to be employed by the NYS Department of Civil Service.

Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Newhart.

Carol will be remembered as a devoted friend and colleague. She was a highly skilled art quilter and needleworker, who designed and created many beautiful quilts and wall hangings over the years. Carol explored all types of needlework and was always eager to try a new technique. She was an active member of Q.U.I.L.T., inc. of Delmar, as well as the local and national chapter of the Embroidery Guild of America (EGA); where she shared her passion and skill with others.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be planned for the spring.
