Troy- Annamarie C. Hull, age 69, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy surrounded by her loving family from complications with Type 1 Diabetes, a disease she battled nearly her whole life. Annamarie was born on Sept. 1, 1954 in Albany to the late Alvira (Savoie) and Peter Cacciotti.
Ann grew up in Rensselaer, raised her children in Pittstown and lived with her oldest daughter in Troy, NY until her passing. She was a graduate of St. John's Academy, Rensselaer 1972. She worked in various positions in New York State and Local government for over 30 years, finishing her career as Payroll Coordinator for Rensselaer County, after completing 21 years of service with the Bureau of Finance. Ann was a mother first and foremost. She loved her children dearly and did all she could to help them succeed. She was a selfless person, helping others in any way she could. A lifelong Yankees fan, she was able to see them play in person many times. She loved to travel with her good friends from work and was able to take her dream trip to Las Vegas, San Francisco (where she swore she could see Ellis Island), and Hawaii in 2009. An avid Hallmark collector, she loved looking through their annual Dreambook with her grandson Angel as they picked out all their favorite ornaments. She frequently quoted I Love Lucy, The Godfather, Seinfeld, and Toy Story, finding humor in their life lessons, passing her love of comedy and sarcasm on to those around her. Her happiest memories were those with her large and extended family, especially when they were all together.
Beloved wife of Stanton P. Hull, II. Loving mother of Kelly E. Hull (Angel Montanez), Kacie J. Hull (Ken Trendell) and S. Perry Hull, III. Beloved Yaya to Angel L. Montanez II, Tiana (Gabby) Silva-Montanez, Angelise (Jimyh) Montanez, and Angeline Montanez, proud great-grandmother to Amaree James. Ann loved her grandchildren very much and was especially proud of each of them. Sister of Peter (Vera) Case, Victoria Wetmiller, James (Lina) Cacciotti, Carol (Claude) Manna, Christopher Cacciotti, and the late Mary Reed and John Cacciotti. Aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews, their spouses, and great-aunt to their many children.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 12-3pm at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. All are invited to wear their favorite Yankees gear in Ann's memory.
A celebration of life will be held also on Saturday, beginning at 3pm at the funeral home. Family and friends will be invited to share their favorite stories about Ann.
She will be interred with her beloved sister Mary Reed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer, NY at a later date.
Ann wanted to ensure that every child had a toy to open on Christmas. Family and friends are encouraged to participate in adopting a family or donating to Toys for Tots this holiday season in her memory.
