Alice C. Fernandez

East Nassau – Alice C. Fernandez, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, after a long illness.

Born in the Bronx, Alice was the daughter of Ann Eustaces and Milton Fuentes. Over the years, she made her home in Brooklyn and Queens before eventually settling in East Nassau with her husband Anthony Fernandez.

Alice found great joy in decorating, hosting gatherings, and spending meaningful time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her warmth and for the love she shared with those around her.

Alice is survived by her loving daughter Laura Barokas; her siblings, Peggy Colauito and Marilyn Fuentes; and her cherished grandchildren, Gary (Alison) Webb and David Singh.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her son Anthony Fernandez.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Alice’s family from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer.
