Obituary for Christian Dabney

Rensselaer-Christian M. “Boo” Dabney, age, 22 years, of Rensselaer passed away Friday May 17, 2013. He was born in Albany and lived most of his life in the Colonie and Rensselaer area. Christian was employed as a coach cleaner for Amtrak and was also employed at the Bourbon Street Restaurant in Colonie. He enjoyed his times on motorcycles, ATV’s and dirt bikes. Christian was a big basketball fan as well as a NY Yankees fan and Dallas Cowboys fan.
Son of Amelia and Marc DeRusso and Mark and Michelle Dabney; father of Milana Amelia Dabney; boyfriend of Brianne Fahrenkopf; brother of Justin Adams, Deven Koehler and Shayla Dabney; grandson of Dennis and Linda Catricala and Edward “Pop” and Rosemarie “Nan” Cornelius and Linda DeRusso; nephew of Viola “Tinker” and Robert Grock, Dennis and Rebecca Catricala, Joshua Catricala, John Catricala, Edward Cornelius III, Alicia DeRusso and Tony and Dawn DeRusso; great-grandson of Thomas Cossack and the late Amelia Pagno Cossack and Vince and Joan Catricala. His canine companion Stoli also survives Christian.
Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wednesday morning at 9:00 and 10:00 at St. John The Evangelist and St. Joseph Church Herrick Street Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Interment will be Thursday at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. Contributions in his memory may be made to a fund for his daughter Milana Amelia Dabney C/O any 1st Niagara Bank Branch.
